When Functionsuite began, a series of talks and events by artists, curators and arts organisations were held that were open and free to the hospital community and the general public. The events focused on how artists and communities collaborate and provided a platform for debate about the possibilities for artists to work with NHS hospitals in Edinburgh and the Lothians.
