	Functionsuite regards the hospital as a community. We provide a space for exchange between members of this community and artists. Functionsuite is an Artlink-initiated project in collaboration with the Lothian Arts Consortium. The project runs for two years from spring 2003 to spring 2005 throughout hospitals in Edinburgh and the Lothians. Functionsuite is funded through the Lothian Hospital Arts Consortium by Scottish Arts Council Lottery Funding. The emphasis of the project is on practice-led research. It aims to create environments where involvement in the artistic process challenges the way art works are commissioned and realized. The outcomes will include: artwork, practice-led research complied by the projects, commissioned texts, newsletters, and a final publication due to be published mid-2005. We welcome the hospital community, artists, writers, specialists and the wider community to the site and invite you to expand the Functionsuite conversation by contributing to our notice board.
